The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a

* Tornado Watch for portions of
Central to northeast Alabama
Northwest Georgia

* Effective this Saturday morning from 320 AM until 800 AM CDT.

* Primary threats include...
A couple intense tornadoes possible
Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible

SUMMARY...QLCS across north-central to northwest Alabama will spread
east, with more broken clusters possible to the southwest. Embedded
supercells will pose the greatest threat for tornadoes and damaging
winds.

The tornado watch area is approximately along and 60 statute miles
north and south of a line from 35 miles east southeast of Rome GA to
60 miles southwest of Tuscaloosa AL. For a complete depiction of the

tornadoes and severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch
