An earthquake of magnitude 3.0 occurred only 11 minutes ago 25 km northwest of Le Havre, France, France's Réseau National de Surveillance Sismique (RéNaSS) reported.
The quake hit at a very shallow depth of 5 km beneath the epicenter near Le Havre, Seine-Maritime, Normandy, France, early evening on Thursday, October 12th, 2023, at 7:00 pm local time. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
A second report was later issued by the citizen-seismograph network of RaspberryShake, which listed it as a magnitude 3.1 earthquake.
