Small 3.6 quake hits near Naples, Campania, Italy

Just 27 minutes ago, a 3.6-magnitude earthquake struck near Naples, Campania, Italy. The tremor was recorded around noon on Monday, October 16th, 2023, at 12:36 pm local time, at a very shallow depth of 1.9 km below the surface.
The event was filed by Italy's National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV), the first seismological agency to report it.
A second report was later issued by the citizen-seismograph network of RaspberryShake, which listed it as a magnitude 3.6 earthquake as well.
Based on the preliminary seismic data, the quake was probably felt by many people in the area of the epicenter. It should not have caused significant damage, other than objects falling from shelves, broken windows, etc.
In Cigliano (pop. 340) located 2 km from the epicenter, Bagnoli (pop. 23,300) 3 km away, Pozzuoli (pop. 45,600) 4 km away, Pianura (pop. 57,800) 4 km away, Soccavo (pop. 45,300) 5 km away, and Fuorigrotta (pop. 71,800) 5 km away, the quake should have been felt as light shaking.
Weak shaking might have been felt in Quarto (pop. 37,700) located 6 km from the epicenter, Naples (pop. 959,500) 11 km away, and Giugliano in Campania (pop. 80,300) 12 km away.
