Small earthquake of magnitude 3.5 just reported 42 miles north of King Cove, Alaska, United States

The United States Geological Survey reported a magnitude 3.5 quake in the United States near King Cove, Aleutians East, Alaska, only 10 minutes ago. The earthquake hit early afternoon on Sunday, March 3rd, 2024, at 3:35 pm local time at an intermediate to considerable depth of 97 miles. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
Our monitoring service identified a second report from the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) which listed the quake at magnitude 3.5 as well.
According to preliminary calculations, we do not expect that the quake was felt by many people and did not cause any damage. In Cold Bay (pop. 120, 40 miles away), King Cove (pop. 1000, 42 miles away), and Nelson Lagoon (pop. 52, 44 miles away), the quake was probably not felt.
