NATO Press Release (2004)004 14 January 2004<br /><br /> <br /><br />The Secretary General of NATO, Jaap de Hoop Scheffer, to visit<br />Bosnia-Herzegovina and Kosovo<br />15-16 January 2004 <br /><br /> <br /><br />The Secretary General of NATO, Jaap de Hoop Scheffer, will travel to Bosnia-Herzegovina and Kosovo on Thursday and Friday 15 and 16 January 2004, in a visit mainly devoted to meeting SFOR and KFOR troops.<br /><br />In Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Secretary General will meet with the Commander of SFOR Major General Virgil L. Packett II, the High Representative Lord Paddy Ashdown, the Standing Committee on Military Matters (SCMM) and the Defense Reform Commission. <br /><br /> <br /><br />In Kosovo, the Secretary General will meet with the Commander of KFOR General Holger Kammerhoff, the UN SRSG Harri Holkeri, President Ibrahim Rugova, the President of the Assembly Mr. Nexhat Daci and the Prime Minister Mr. Bajram Rexhepi as well as the Special Coordinator for Returns Mr. Milorad Todorovic. <br /><br /> <br /><br />For further information, please contact the NATO Press and Media Service in Brussels, Ariane Quentier, tel: (32) 2 707 1459, fax: (32) 2 707 5057
