An earthquake of magnitude 2.3 occurred 31 minutes ago 2 miles southwest of Fontana, California, United States, the United States Geological Survey reported.
The quake hit at a very shallow depth of 2 miles beneath the epicenter near Fontana, San Bernardino County, California, USA, in the morning on Thursday, September 26th, 2024, at 7:52 am local time. Magnitude and other quake parameters can still change in the coming hours as the agency continues to process seismic data.
Our monitoring service identified a second report from The Incorporated Research Institutions for Seismology (IRIS) which listed the quake at magnitude 2.3 as well. A third agency, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), reported the same quake at magnitude 2.3.
