An earthquake of magnitude 3.0 occurred only 4 minutes ago 16 km northwest of Legnica, Poland, the German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ) reported.
The quake hit at a shallow depth of 10 km beneath the epicenter near Legnica, Lower Silesia, Poland, in the afternoon on Wednesday, September 25th, 2024, at 5:46 pm local time. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
Our monitoring service identified a second report from the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) which listed the quake at magnitude 2.9.
