Magnitude 2.3 earthquake strikes near Valledupar, Cesar, Colombia

A shallow magnitude 2.3 earthquake was reported early morning near Valledupar, Cesar, Colombia.
According to the citizen-seismograph network of RaspberryShake, the quake hit on Thursday, January 23rd, 2025, at 1:01 am local time at a shallow depth of 22. km. Shallow earthquakes are felt more strongly than deeper ones as they are closer to the surface.
