Moderate magnitude 4.2 quake hits 65 miles northwest of Grand Haven, Canada late at nightA magnitude 4.2 earthquake near Grand Haven, British Columbia, Canada, was reported only 29 minutes ago by the citizen-seismograph network of RaspberryShake, considered the main national agency that monitors seismic activity in this part of the world. The earthquake occurred at a very shallow depth of 3.1 miles beneath the epicenter late at night on Tuesday, February 11th, 2025, at 11:52 pm local time. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report. Towns or cities near the epicenter where the quake might have been felt as very weak shaking include Grand Haven (pop. 740) located 65 miles from the epicenter.
