This true-color corrected reflectance image of Tropical Cyclone Zelia approaching Western Australia on February 13, 2025, was acquired by the Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (VIIRS) instrument aboard the joint NASA/NOAA NOAA-20 platform.


Tropical Cyclone Zelia is currently a Category 5 storm, the highest rating, and will bring destructive winds and heavy rain to the Pilbara region of Western Australia. This severe storm has a high risk of affecting lives, homes, and infrastructure in the region.
