Moderate magnitude 4.7 earthquake 30 miles northwest of West Vancouver, Canada

The United States Geological Survey reported a magnitude 4.7 quake in Canada near West Vancouver, only 13 minutes ago. The earthquake hit around noon on Friday, February 21st, 2025, at 1:26 pm local time at a very shallow depth of 5.6 miles. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
