An earthquake of magnitude 3.9 occurred late at night on Sunday, March 2nd, 2025, at 10:13 pm local time near Burbank, Los Angeles County, California, USA, as reported by The Incorporated Research Institutions for Seismology (IRIS).
According to preliminary data, the quake was located at a shallow depth of 9.5 miles. Shallow earthquakes are felt more strongly than deeper ones as they are closer to the surface.
