A Newark police officer was killed and another injured in a shooting involving a 14-year-old suspect, who was also killed. The incident occurred near Broadway and Carteret Street. New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy and Attorney General Matthew J. Platkin commented on the risks faced by law enforcement. Investigations are ongoing.
