Magnitude 4.8 earthquake strikes near Fort-de-France, Martinique

Just 15 minutes ago, a 4.8-magnitude earthquake struck near Fort-de-France, Martinique. The tremor was recorded after midnight on Tuesday, March 25th, 2025, at 12:53 am local time, at an intermediate depth of 117. km below the surface.
The event was filed by the German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ), the first seismological agency to report it.
A second report was later issued by the citizen-seismograph network of RaspberryShake, which listed it as a magnitude 4.8 earthquake as well.
