Magnitude 3.2 earthquake strikes near Glogow, Głogów County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, Poland

The German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ) reported a magnitude 3.2 quake in Poland near Glogow, Głogów County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, only 3 minutes ago. The earthquake hit in the morning on Sunday, October 12th, 2025, at 9:50 am local time at a shallow depth of 10. km. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
Our monitoring service identified a second report from the citizen-seismograph network of RaspberryShake which listed the quake at magnitude 3.2 as well.
Based on the preliminary seismic data, the quake should not have caused any significant damage, but was probably felt by many people as light vibration in the area of the epicenter.
Weak shaking might have been felt in Grebocice (pop. 1,500) located 3 km from the epicenter.
Other towns or cities near the epicenter where the quake might have been felt as very weak shaking include Polkowice (pop. 21,600) located 9 km from the epicenter, Glogow (pop. 67,300) 12 km away, and Lubin (pop. 77,500) 19 km away. In Legnica (pop. 106,000, 40 km away), Nowa Sol (pop. 40,400, 40 km away), Leszno (pop. 63,600, 41 km away), and Boleslawiec (pop. 40,700, 53 km away), the quake was probably not felt.
