Small 3.7 quake hits near Adak, Aleutians West, Alaska, USAJust 15 minutes ago, a 3.7-magnitude earthquake struck near Adak, Aleutians West, Alaska, USA. The tremor was recorded early evening on Wednesday, June 17th, 2026, at 6:53 pm local time, at an intermediate depth of 45 miles below the surface.
The event was filed by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), the first seismological agency to report it.
According to preliminary calculations, we do not expect that the quake was felt by many people and did not cause any damage. In Adak (pop. 330, 40 miles away), the quake was probably not felt.
