Denny Hamlin had high expectations for Las Vegas, and it was hard not to after earning pole position in a Joe Gibbs Racing 1-2-3-4. Ultimately though, it was a day he'd like to soon forget.
He led the first 39 laps of the race, but after the first caution for Zane Smith spinning, Hamlin never returned to the lead.
