..Elizalde-Garcia.. 10/05/2026
.PREV DISCUSSION... /ISSUED 1151 PM CDT Sun Oct 04 2026/
...Synopsis... A jet streak will move into parts of the Dakotas on Tuesday. Dry, breezy post-frontal conditions will be possible from the lee of the northern Rockies into the western/central Dakotas. Overall, winds will be rather light for most areas. Within the Dakotas, winds immediately behind the front could reach near 15-20 mph with higher gusts. Low fuel receptiveness (on account of cooler temperatures and precipitation during the last week) should preclude a greater fire weather threat, but locally elevated conditions may occur.
