as long as they're out of view, ie. on the back of the house, then what dish size can one typically house up on the rooftop? (out of council view) :-)

my council allows upto 1.5m dish on my roof and can only sit a maximum off 1 metre off the roof

but if u have room put it on the ground as its alot less viewable from there and you could proberly put a bigger one

look the council doesnt care unless someone complains about it so if its kool with ur surrounding neighbours u should be rite

what DISH size is required to reach TELSTAR 10? (from sydney).

guys, lyngsat is nice (lyngsat.com/asia.html), but can anyone give omre specifics, URL perhaps, to show the rest what can be reached with what dish? rather than just trial and error - esp. if ppl are willing to buy new HD, this'd help.
