Heavy rains lashed Kerala on Saturday, causing landslides and widespread flooding. Six people died in rain-related incidents, with several others rescued from affected areas. Authorities launched large-scale rescue and evacuation operations, setting up numerous relief camps for displaced residents. Landslides and flooding disrupted traffic and damaged many houses across several districts. The India Meteorological Department issued red and orange alerts for multiple districts forecasting heavy rainfall.
