DSLAMS are in a limited amount of exchanges and the list to be added is not super big. The majority of Australians will be waiting years for 8Mbps.<br /><br />Broadband over power lines has been trialled for at least the last 5 years , I remember getting excited about it in 1999. It still hasnt happened.<br /><br />There are still lots of parts of Australia that cannot even get ADSL , I have only had it for 6 months and I am probably only 60 kms from Melbourne.
