As for timid owners do a serch on the LS1 forum you will find the ones that haven't had much problems of Oil Consumption are the ones that have FLOGGED their cars from new. Work that one out. Mine Rattled and used 2 lts of oil in 3000Klms now its ok I have done around 1600k only since the rebuild and it hasen't used a drop, before the dipstick would have dropped 20mm. Also the reason why so many BLEW UP!!! They ran out of oil, It was IMPOSSIBLE to go from one oil change to another without adding a min of 1.5 to 2 ltrs of oil in 10,000k By the way some rattle and dont use oil but when the rings give up its Bye Bye time the engline becomes a Oil pump. NoW for the PCV problem. to long to type.
