Phil,<br /><br />Yes a great player, I have one myself. Best thing is it will play DVD-RW which is a very hard format. Also there is not one DVD-R that I have created that it will not play.<br /><br />Best thing is as it plays ANYTHING you put in it, makes the player the BEST on the market for scratched and damaged disks.<br /><br />A few weeks ago I rented a movie and my laptop rejected the disk, the old 'disk error'. I then tried my Pioneer A04 burner also rejected it.<br /><br />However the XMS-950 (mind you after a 10 second pause!!!) up came the title menu. Took the disk back and they tried 9 players not one worked, only my XMS-950 <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="images/icons/default/smile.gif" /> <br /><br />Its the problem with the studio's <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="images/icons/default/frown.gif" /> Sony and Toshiba about the worst two on the market. They are okay with printed disks, but anything burnt forget it.
