Hello again.

Hmmm, what's strange about inserting a genuine SelecTV smartcard into the card slot of a one year old Topfield TF3200IR receiver? Please explain? I gather you are suggesting that Topfield has some strange implementation of Irdeto CA. I doubt that very much and others have reported slow authorisation.
Look, it's not a big deal and I have found a workaround to this issue. I was more concerned about protracted LOS on the 12326H transponder on the dates mentioned and needed verification of my equipment as the symptoms did not suggest local equipment failure.
My Duna TV card has always worked quickly and correctly in this same receiver. The loss of signal originally reported at the commencement of this thread is definitely NOT due to external interference of any kind. I am reluctant to accept that it may be my LNBF which I will replace in due course. BTW, everything has been working fine without any system changes effected. 99% of the time SelecTV just works.
Thanks again for your assistance and sorry for the excess bandwidth on this forum.
Cheers. the Tink.
