I value your comments and opinions as an experienced nature spiritualist, Chris, thanks!  It makes me wonder if there is any connection to the numerous Irish convicts that populated this area 200 years ago. (My interaction with Mulligan's spirit prompted the research in which I found out about this piece of local history  ). Maybe some leprechauns followed?
