This is a little crop from my archive of spirit photo tidbits. It looks like a leprechaun to me... ![[Linked Image]](http://www.metawake.info/images/littlies/leprechaun2485_2.jpg) It was taken under the same tree in which I captured this other little guy (from my fairy gallery) many months ago...

He does indeed look like a leprechaun Alisa, nicely spotted!
A little bit more info here. The Leprechaun is supposedly only found in Ireland, but little beings in very similar dress are found in many countries. (obviously Australia!) I can attest to finding them in Western Europe also.

I value your comments and opinions as an experienced nature spiritualist, Chris, thanks! It makes me wonder if there is any connection to the numerous Irish convicts that populated this area 200 years ago. (My interaction with Mulligan's spirit prompted the research in which I found out about this piece of local history ). Maybe some leprechauns followed?

Hi Alisa,
I see so many of these little people, who all tend to dress very similar: Top hat or bowler with a band of different colour on it. Jacket and breeches/trousers, buckled shoes. usually in all green but sometimes has contasting purple, red or black hat.
Maybe people think they are only found in Ireland, because of the predominance of green in their dress(a colour associated with Ireland)and of course the name given to this little person is of old Irish origin. The word derives from the old Irish word 'Luchopan'.
Maybe your Irish convict theory has a link, an interesting thought!

Forgive my being absent. I'm feeling a bit under the weather from the fall season starting. Hopefully, I'll be back soon posting more. I do have a question for ya about Leprechauns... how do they reproduce? According to my books there's no females. I'll surf by again soon and hopefully I'll be feeling better. Wishing you all a wonderful week! Dawn

Hi Dawn, Hope you will be back to full health very soon!
Regarding the Leprechauns. I am not sure where the story of no Female Leprachauns started. I too have read a lot of books where it is stated there are no females. I have no idea if the people who wrote the books, see or are in contact with nature spirits. When I started out on nature spirit photography, I decided to cast the books aside and experience them first hand. I see a lot of females and children around. So I pressume they reproduce in some similar fashion to humans. Tanis Helliwell's book "Summer with the Leprechauns", is a true story of the summer she stayed in Ireland and met and interacted with a Leprechaun. He had a wife and children.
Hope this is of some help to you.
Take care Dawn

Haha! If you are referring to myself Briarne, I take a lot of photos, it is one of the things I do. I like to be out in nature, in all weather conditions also.
When I first started taking the photos with nature spirits and others, it was a bit freaky at first I will admit. You see all sorts of things, which do not fit into societies 'normal' category. But after a short while you realise there is no norm, this is a different dimension we are dealing with. I accept all into my photographs, whether they are deemed 'freaky' or 'cute'. Everything has a place.

Right.
I used to be heavily in this stuff and it used to rule my life. I haven't been looking at this for like 4 months. Maybe thats why im so freaked out about some of this.

I love your questions Briarne, because they get to the heart of the matter. I have never really thought about exactly how many photos I take, but I think it is a good question. I usually take about 15 photos at a time, about once a week average. I can't stand the thought of deleting any photos because as my vision for seeing spirit becomes stronger, I can go back over previous photos and find amazing spirit captures I missed before. It is easy to overlook anomalies the first time through. I usually thoroughly look over a photo 5 times, letting time pass between each look. As I take photos with intention of capturing spirits (which helps!) and then look over them, I learn more what to look for, like for example colour changes, blurriness, or a certain sheen, which often indicates spirit.

Then take your time Briarne, if you are feeling 'freaked out' and a bit uneasy about these subjects. Ease yourself back in gently. The uneasiness comes from fear of the unknown. when you have knowledge about things and you learn and know more of these topics, the fear will subside and be replaced by wonder.

Thank ya Chriss for the Leprechaun info. That sounds like a great book. I love reading stuff like that.
Love all this picture discussion too, it's interesting.
