It was taken November 2001. We had just scattered my mothers ashes in the shrubs behind, my wife took the photo of my sister and I. It was a non digital camera, and the image shows clearly on the negative. I see the image as three dimensional with pyramid shapes top and bottom.

The image in the front appears to be coming from the shrubs, the nose is behind the shrubs. The smaller image at the back looks flat (a shadow) it shows the front end with a point.

I've added a red line through the center points of both orb images to illustrate the parallels:
