Wow, what a fascinating photo.  I see this fairy as having green hair and thin arms stretching forward like you describe. I can't say I personally know as yet whether or not fairies or any other little beings ever actually use wings to fly, but I have at times captured their image in photographs sporting wings. Thanks for sharing this great photo!
