I like your philosophy, Jim, and the way you put it that the mind must overcome the hardwired instincts to "not see" past the comforting illusion (puppet). coolpeace And I agree that people do seem to have a hardwired compulsion to eradicate that which threatens or scares them.

I will add my personal view... that the soul is enormous and wise. It is stuffed (in part) into a body/brain that is a "vehicle" fitted with all sorts of forced channels and safety mechanisms. As a soul becomes better at driving the vehicle, the soul is able to overcome/overwrite more of the safety auto-pilot mechanisms and drive more expertly and freely, accessing more of its wisdom to peer through human eyes. It is harder and scarier initially to drive this way, but well worth it when done at a reasonable pace.
