It always seemed to me that there was so much more to the heart than just a 'pump'.So when I read the book below, there was the 'ahhh' factor for me.

In the book "The Biology of Transcendence: A blueprint of the human spirit", the author, Joseph Chilton Pearce suggests that we have '5' brains and not 4(the four parts make up the 1 whole brain) as originally thought.

He delved deep into the still evolving science of Neurocardiology, which amazingly shows the following:

60-65% of all heart cells are actually neural cells(nerves)and identical to those in the brain.

The heart is a major glandular organ, which produces hormones that effect the body, brain and mind.

The heart produces two and a half watts of electrical pulsation with each beat, creating an electromagnetic field in and around us, which is identical to that of the earth.

This then would make some sense of the many heart transplant patients, who have reported feeling connected to the donor of the heart through experiencing memories and personality traits, belonging to the other person.

The heart transplant patient did not just get a donor heart pump, they received a brain!
