Ah! MOST fascinating topic, experiences, explanations and photos!!
Starting at the bottom post, I seeee what you are talking about in the emblem on the black leprechaun's hat. So it is the hat and attire that is black and not the leprechaun's skin, right? What I see on the hat in this 3/4 view where he is facing to my right, is a mushroom!!
Highly Magnified Original
My Outlining Interpretation
It is a leprechaun face sporting a hat with a mushroom that is the symbol on this larger leprechaun's hat. In your photo I am seeing smaller leprechauns all comprising a larger image of a leprechaun.
This resonates for me with my theory of multi-dimensionality as I pointed out with my photo of
Tsuki and as it appears in many photos as well -- we are all made up of sub parts that are like that of the larger part. Each smaller part has it's own unique identity, but is still part of the whole. Hope this makes sense.
To me it is like our soul being made up of all the pastlife personalities. They are all part of the collective soul yet retain their individuality. Additionally is my belief that our collective soul is yet another smaller part of a larger entity and so on. But I digress.

Another person has once written me to tell of his encounters with a leprechaun dressed in black or dark attire. So this topic is quite validating to me.
Maybe the green hatted leprechauns are the clover and/or foliage leprechauns and the black ones are the ones for the breaking down of such, so of the dirt and mushrooms, etc. Makes sense to me. The attire of the nature spirits seems to be coloured appropriately for their work to either blend in with the background or as an emulation of their work.
If we keep speculating, theorizing, capturing photos and analyzing them, we will continue to learn so much. I'm really loving this.
(I'll make another post to discuss the other parts of this topic you have posted).
