Robert,

If the channels from Chile are down it looks like it's a fibre issue. If the fault is out of UBI's control then no refund or compensation would be given. Foxtel might give refunds but they control most of their channels and most are produced within Australia where as UBI rely on the broadcasters from around the world to supply the signal to UBI either by fibre or satellite - this is the only downside to supplying ethnic channels into Australia.

I'm quite positive it will be fixed quite soon, possibly today, you must remember that it's the first time either Chilevision or Latinoamerica TV have been sending their channels outside South America. So we are just waiting for the teleport in Chile to fix it asap.

You might of not had any problems with SelecTV but did you read about the massive outage to their ethnic channels a few weeks ago, including the Spanish channels? At least you had another 8 Spanish to watch during the outage on UBI.

Remember that it's in UBI's best interest to make sure all the channels are running but when you need to rely on third parties it can be a pain - it's funny when some people actually think that it's done on purpose.
