Very interesting! The Symbolic and literal meet. I believe we are planted here...but you have added an interesting possibility I had not thought of. I was thinking about you today and your theories about machines and how they have a spirit (or such). It kinda ties in with aliens and God. Anyway, it led me to this thought that that nothing is unnatural. Because if the earth is "natural", everything that comes from the earth is natural. We come from the earth so we are natural, and whatever we create is natural and made from elements of the natural earth. I suddenly thought of cylons (of Battle Star Galactic) and that cool saga of them, as machines created by humans, finding God. And I had always wondered about other science fiction, like Terminator, where machines become alive and conscious. I used to think it was a far stretch, but now I actually do believe that all things are natural and have spirit. And iron is a natural occurring element, and though alloys like steel must be mixed by man, it is still a result of natural elements. So how do metal and flesh compare? More thought is needed to follow this through. But that's my rough sketch. Also, along the lines of natural, it helped me feel better, more accepting and less guilty of liking things that have been vilified by naturalists. Things like plastic. Much more to be thought, but it's a start
