A memory was triggered in me the other day. And it's not to say I had forgotten the incident, but I just hadn't thought about it recently it seemed.

Years ago, about 10, my husband and I went through a phase of riding bicycles around the area we lived in. We often rode to the nearby mall. I was not the most confident rider, especially when we had to navigate through pedestrian areas. As we approached a crosswalk with lots of people waiting to cross, the chain on my bike caught and then came off the tracks. I felt really flustered and wondered how I'd get it back on as I was not at all good at bicycle mechanics.

I had to get off and walk the bike and at just that moment the crosswalk had the green light so the crowd started moving across the street. Just then two men walked up swiftly from behind me and before I could register what was happening, had taken the bike from me.

It all happened so fast it seemed almost unreal. One man seemed to hold the bike as they swiftly walked while the other deftly realigned the chain. All of this happened in the short space of seconds and the bike was returned to me just as I reached the other side of the cross walk.

I can't even remember if I had a chance to realize and thank them, but I remember the hint of a smile on one of their faces as they passed into the crowd ahead of me.

I was sure my husband shared this memory with me, but when I asked him yesterday he said he didn't remember it. hmm

This amazingly cool good-deed may or may not have been quotes paranormal dunno ...but, it certainly was outside the ordinary. eyebrow
