Interesting message. As you and I often discuss, there is the dark side of existence. And it is necessary to have darkness to contrast with the light. Both are needed for the other to exist in this realm of duality.

I think that life on earth is about cleansing and regrowth. One thing dies and another thing is born. The dead leaves and fruit from a tree can go back to compost to feed it. It just depends on how a person wishes to view it--this recycling, and whether they want to fight this process and see it as negative, or whether they accept the inevitability of death and see the benefits in it.

Personally, I believe very strongly in reincarnation and the eternal existence of the soul so that we never REALLY die. We just change forms.

And it IS at present a dog-eat-dog world. I don't know if and/or when this will ever change. Adversity is the catalyst for growth and if there was no competition and no need to survive something, we would all just stagnate. We would not know sweetness without bitterness or happiness without sadness... or light without dark. We would not progress if there wasn't something to keep overcoming.

And the Mayan prophecy of end time (2012) speaks of a fire, or so I have read in various places. I also have had a few dreams that hint at this. So maybe the buildings will burn, etc. And maybe the cleanser/reaper is not a popular entity, but a necessary one? "It is always darkest before the dawn..."
