Yes, very true that this kind of thing should be handled w/much caution. The guidelines that I shared above for a safe EVP session is something that I hope everyone reads carefully, instead of being impulsive & just diong it. It is for our own safety, and I expect - hope rather, that others will not throw it to the wayside pray.

And yes, I also agree that the more you do it, the easier it is to tap into. That is what I call a perk for some, & a curse for others - depending on their heebie geebies tolerance, & their paranormal experience.
