I am happy for him because being happy and content is fabulous. content But, I think if he had a therapist that saw reality the way he had seen it, then the therapist might well have helped him to deal with the things he experienced without trying to brick the walls back up all the way.

Without having experienced either side of this story though, I can only conjecture. Plus I haven't read the book. But what I am saying is that this man, I believe, was merely experiencing a greater reality but without any protection for his conscious mind. I'm not against medications. Not at all. But I also feel it is negligent (from my point of view) to dismiss the reality he was experiencing as nothing more than an illness and complete illusion.
