In response to Starchie's post of The Translucent Hand...

The other night I brought my camera along on an outing, and as a passenger content, I decided to snap photos out the car window as we drove along at about 60km/h. The photos came out amazingly clear, but I happened to get one like Starchie's translucent hand photo.

I know that shutter speed and movement combine to enable such things, but what is it enabling that exists? Layers of still frames from multiple realities that converge to create one?

I know that there is meaning behind this and it reveals something about the nature of reality. And I'm still exploring this idea. Any ideas?

Like this dog photo, which I feel goes well beyond mere movement of the dog (even if he was moving dunno).

Or one of my favourite examples--the spoon bending man.

Thanks, Starchie, for bringing this idea back to the forefront. Maybe, as you mention, it has something to do with the light that is shining from behind. confused
