Hi Alisa,

OK, so the synch (BTW, I like 'synch' better w/the 'h' included! LOL) with the snails...

So Remember I told you about the thousands of snails that I raised from one little snail that I found and named Gary? I'm sure you do. So back in November I was invited to my friend Kevin's b-day party, & couldn't attend because Karl had to work that night & there was no one else to watch Spencer, as we don't usually leave him with a sitter unless there's an emergency. So instead of missing him completely for his b-day, I decided to go to his house one night and make him a special b-day dinner. It was my first time over his newly purchased house, & as he was showing me around, I instantly noticed the aquarium w/dirt in it, sitting on his bookshelf in his hockey room(yes, typical man).

I can't tell you how excited I was to learn that Kusch(my nicname for Kevin, since his last name is Kuschel) had befriended a snail!!! And on top of it, he looked just like Gary. I asked Kusch if he knew anything about snails, & he said not really, he was just winging it. I told him everything I could think of about the care of these precious creatures. When I left that night, I told him the two most important things to remember to include in his snails enviornment were the cuttle bone, & plenty of enriched soil & as much water as he could remember to give him.

A couple of months ago I talked to Kusch & asked how his snail was doing,he said "Ok I guess". I asked him if he got around to getting the cuttlebone he said no. So this past Tuesday I was doing some shopping, I promised Spencer that we would go down the fish isle. And there I spotted the same little coconut shell snail houses that I used to buy for our snails. So I decided to pick one up for Kusch's snail. Then I just couldn't help myself & had to buy the cuttle bone too!

Later that evening I dropped by Kev's house to give him the snail stuff. Karl & Kev quickly ran off to the den to look at hockey stuff on the internet, & Spencer & I tended to the snail. Shortly into it though, Spence went to watch TV. So all by my lonesome I put the cuttle bone in the aquarium, along w/the coconut house, I sprayed down the entire habitat, refreshed his water bowl & gave it some fresh produce to munch on. After the 10 minutes it took to care for it, I went to put the screen back on the habitat, when I thought I might play with it for a while. So I let it crawl up & down my arm. I absolutely love the feeling of this, you can feel every little powerful muscle in their singular foot contract, along w/this cold, slimey trail - love it! Any way I probably sat there for about 20 minutes playing w/this little guy & didn't want to put him back, but I had to rally up my boys & get home.

I thought to myself how much I missed Gary & all of his/her babies. Now that I think about it Alisa, I was probably feeling a bit similar to how you have felt about Tsukie's puppies, although not as sad as you, I've had more time to deal with their absence than you have.

This little snail visit took place on Tuesday April 28, I wonder what day you thought to post the snails as Pic Of The Week? Not that it really matters, when we both believe what we do about time & it's dimension's. But I always like to ask anyway, just out of curiousity of finding some kind of pattern ya know? Do you by any chance remember what day you posted it? I know we always fall about a half a day apart in time diff, so remember that my Tues evening was probably your Wednesday morning. Did you post it then by any chance?

Again not that the day or time gives it any more siggnificance either way, just looking for pattern.

Then I get on aus-city last night (my Wednesday evening, your Thursday night) & what do I see? Your lovely Snails!!!

Thank you darlin, I found myself thinking about those snails earlier that day, missing them...and abracadabra there they are, the first thing I see that evening on this site! YOU AMAZE ME SOMETIMES LADY!!! clink snail snail snail
