eyepopWow, OQ! What a great story. Is this the first UFO that your BIL & nieces & nephews have ever seen? I couldn't imagine trying to process something like that at that young age. Then again, the kids of today are more informed on UFO's & the like, than we ever were as kids.

I had a similar experience about a month ago. Karl, Spence & I were all driving out to my sister Jen's to visit the baby. She lives in Brighton MI. It's about 1-1 & 1/2 hrs from our place. there we were just driving along & I happened to notice a sphere /orb shaped silver thing flying outside my window (passenger side). I watched for about 45 seconds w/out saying anything to Karl or Spencebug. I was too focused on it to even say something out loud, as I figured talking would distract my attention from the object. But Karl knew that I had spotted something. Spencer had just asked me a question right before I spotted it & as I tried to answer him my words were becoming sporadic & very paused, because I noticed the sphere as I was trying to answer him. I sounded something like this "Ah...yeah, buddy...I know what...you mean...", as I was rubbernecking through my window to keep my eyes on what I had just spotted. I was just too distracted to answer him in a complete sentence, and Karl noticed this & drew his attention to what I was trying to see.

Finally, Spencer said something like "Right mama?" (in reference to his original question), & I took my eyes off of the object just long enough to look at him in the backseat. When I looked back to the sky, the sphere wasn't there anymore. Instead there was a whitish cigar shaped object. I kept my eyes on it as long as I could before it just faded away. It didn't fly behind any clouds or anything, it literally just faded away in the sense that it became lighter & lighter in appearance until it was gone, but it didn't seem to be getting further away, just lighter until it disappeared.

Karl actually got a glimpse of the cigar shaped mutation, but never actually saw the silver sphere. Once it was gone I blurted out "I think I just saw a UFO!". I explained to the boys that first it was spherical & that I had gotten a good look at it & was sure it wasn't anything that we were used to seeing in the sky. Then I described how in a split second the shape morphed into the cigar shape. Karl said "I saw the long thing too, but I didn't catch the sphere at all." I guess my distraction with answering Spencer's question caused Karl to look into the direction that I was starring into, but his position in the car didn't allow him to see the sphere. But he did catch on that I saw something, which caused him to look in the first place. Which in turn, allowed him to see the cigar object a couple of seconds later.

The weird thing about this sphere object is that it was silver-ish but also glowing as if the sun might have been hitting it, causing a shinny glare. What doesn't make sense about that is that the sun was behind it & not in a position to make it shine on the side that I could see it from. Do you know what I mean? I guess what I'm trying to say is that it should not have reflected the sun on that particular side of the orb, but instead on the opposite side that I couldn't see.

The second thing that I found strange thinking & convinced me even more that it was a UFO, was the fact that there was no glare blur making it look fuzzy. Do you know what I mean by that? fitIt's so hard to describe. Kind of like when you hold a mirror in the direction of the sun. Usually the sun will reflect off of the mirror, but the glare goes past the outline of the object, almost as if it's blocking part of the outline & stretching past it. There was none of that. So to me it seemed to have been a glare coming from the object itself.

gaahI wish I hadn't looked away at Spencer, I probably would have seen it morph with my very own eyes. But I still know that it morphed into the cigar object, as it was in the very same spot that I had seen the sphere & only took a split second to replace the orb.

I guess I would have to say that, that was my very first UFO encounter. I know it couldn't have been anything else, the position of the sun vs the location of the glare, the glare not stretching past the object a bit, the quick replacement of orb to cigar shape & finally the fading away, yet not moving at all. None of that behavior seems to fit earth's laws of physics. I'm sure it was a UFO!

Thanks for sharing your story OQ. Although my experience differs a bit from your kins' experience, I feel quite validated by their story. headshakeI don't doubt that what they saw was a UFO. How are the kids handling this? Are they freaked?

Wow, thanks again Orby, I'm so glad you shared this! woot
