Just 8 minutes ago, a 3.5-magnitude earthquake struck near Cherbourg, Comté de Clallam County, Washington, USA. The tremor was recorded late at night on Sunday, January 14th, 2024, at 11:25 pm local time, at a moderately shallow depth of 26 miles below the surface.
The event was filed by the United States Geological Survey, the first seismological agency to report it.
A second report was later issued by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), which listed it as a magnitude 3.5 earthquake as well.
