An earthquake of magnitude 4.4 occurred only 5 minutes ago 73 km southwest of Neapolis, Greece, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) reported.
The quake hit at a shallow depth of 10 km beneath the epicenter near Neapolis, Kavala, East Macedonia and Thrace, Greece, in the afternoon on Monday, August 12th, 2024, at 4:24 pm local time. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
