A tragic accident occurred on the Chinturu-Maredumilli ghat road when a private travel bus carrying pilgrims fell into a gorge, resulting in at least 8 deaths and several injuries. The bus, en route to Annavaram from Bhadrachalam, veered off the road due to a sharp curve. Rescue efforts were delayed by poor mobile network coverage in the hilly terrain.
