yestyerday one of the ubi operators told me that there some negotiation about channel 47 on the ubi platform. and for whom it concern i knew that ubi is planning to have tv globo on ubi(ch 47) and they are still negotiating and waiting to finalise the contract.<br />can u give me your opinion about that channels. is it good or bad

Brazilians love it! There is heaps of soccer on it as well.

Yes and like I said they want more $$$$ and I still would not be surprised if they go to another company like select tv mainly because they will get away with more than what UBI are prepared to pay. But will select TV get the customers, think of that TVGI.

If TV globo goes with Select tv ad joins TV chile we will make a decision what company we want, for me I want TV globo but the wife loves the collection of channels that UBI has to offer and we all know we have to please our women.<br />Some how I think if TV globo goes to Select tv the pair of channels Tv globo and TV Chile will cost you more than all our channels on UBI.<br />Only time will tell.

By the way our friends have signed up with UBI and they told us to forget about Tv Globo if it comes to UBI so be it but if it goes elseware we cant subscribe to two companies.<br />And the main reason we are holding off is UBI has a stronger chance to supply English channels where the others cannot because it would cost them extra to uplink (It has been explained on this forum before I read it someware)<br />If i'm correct UBI is the only company that owns its own Uplinks in Australia and around the world.<br />Can someone please confirm that.

SELECTV and Worldmedia they are a combined services...if u talking about selectv that means u r talking about worlmdedia....ive sopke to one of the selectv operator and he told me that we provide the english channels..and worldmedia provides the arabic ch's..thats becasue i asked him if there will b any arabic ch's on ur service?

Even without a Chilean channel the UBI Spanish package has been a HUGE success!!<br /><br />Those 250 people are people who think the world starts and ends with TV Chile. I don't blame them for watching TV Chile since it's FTA at the moment.<br /><br />I'm sure with the addition of TV Globo the Portuguese will also be another success.

But could you imagine what would happen if UBI got Chilevision?.

For $15,000 a month even Globecast won't put it up.. and thats not including bringing the channel to australia..
