This has been a big topic of late , just thought I would add that an elderly gentleman ( who I installed a dish for )rang TV Plus over this problem and asked when it was going to be fixed.Mind you , it took him several days to get someone to answer the phone.

They blamed his 80cm TV for the poor picture quality and basically denied there was a problem. So unless you plan on watching TV on one of those little portable 15 cm units , you are not going to be happy.

Boring you are so correct, It is unwatchable on a big TV.
I did post that I wasn't going to say anymore about this as I see the rep for tvplus satfreak has never bothered to answer my question but I don't like that and My dad has told me to do it again for the very last time but this time I'm going to join every Satellite English and Serbian Forum and tell the truth about this problem as most don't have a clue about it, but what is happening I'll give you a example one of our relations has a LG plasma and has just had TV plus connected. Now for the last month they have been watching HDTV via a Digital set top box and plenty of DVD's so what happened as soon as the contractor connected the TV plus box and he got it going my cousin got a shock and asked the contractor "WHATS THIS RUBBISH?", its totally unwatchable on a plasma tv, the Contractor said if you want we can connect it to your older tv where it will be alot better. I must tell you, every day that passes more and more people are connecting to TV plus and more and more are going to be complaining to TV plus about the poor quality because they have been lied to, so you wonder why you can't get through on their phone lines and like I said, this is expedential as the days pass.

[ 11. One of the girls at uni was telling me her parents have just subscribed to TV PLUS and in the week they have had it they have been shut down twice, I did ask about the picture quality buy here dad is nearly blind and all he does is sits on the lounge and listens to it. My friend doesn't bother watching it she perfered the tarbs setup as she said when the old man is asleep she watched the English channels.
Cathy.

Luckily the gentleman was understanding when I explained that it is not my fault and that is the best the picture is from their end.

Personally , I would ask for my money back. If you paid via credit card you can ask your bank for a charge back if you do not receive/or receive substandard goods and services. They have no hope of enforcing contracts on you for something so sub standard.

For christ sake for those that saw the Stats, it was in the local rag, over 40% of the population have a large TV whick includes plasma,LCD,DLP, whatever, and your watching Tv plus on that. Can they fix the problem???.
By the way what you pay is what you get boys, Now I'm talking about the management here, not the poor customer.

I've made this today (a little bit extra time in my hands ) for everybody to see the quality of picture on Tv+ in comparison with UBI using the same parameters.

Now, everybody, put your "Beer Goggles" on and guess which Screenshot belongs to Tv+ and what channel has the best video quality

YU4CFG
I have installed a lot of setups in my life. I also have done a lot of installs for TARBS itself and now I am a freelance installer. I have moved a lot of dishes from PAS 8 to B3 for UBI people and I have moved lately a few from B3 back to PAS 8 for TV Plus people, but I do not take any work from either as I don't want to be involved with the companies. There is one thing I can guarantee you, the amount of people that are starting to complain about the quality of TV Plus is horrendous, like I said, when I do a service call now and it has to do with any installation from PAS 8 KU, I ask them in regards to what problem. If they say the picture is fuzzy, not good, I don't bother, I tell them I am not interested as I don't have to turn up, my job was only to find the satellite and thats it. TV Plus, are you reading this, you have got a huge problem, the more that connect, the more that are talking, the more that are going to be complaining and as the guy above said Dishsat, a lot of people do have big TV's and they have an expectation of watching PINK on a large TV and I spoke to Phil over the phone last night and he read to me over the phone the email that was sent to him via a disgruntled ex-employee of PanAmSat and it made good reading and he should post it but he said he was going to wait. As far as I am concerned, UBI sit back, TV Plus is going to dig its own grave, they're in a catch 22 situation with Panglobal and thats about it.
Phil please post the other emails on the forum.

We will have 20 Pay tv Providers for a viewing audience of around 2 Million, what a joke.
Some are going to go broke, rumours around saying that Globecast will carry the pink channels now that will piss Tv plus off.
