Hi Phil,<br />I know you keep watch on a lot of satellite and pay tv but have you heard now finally optus is negotiating with foxtel to upgrade to digital? They are also negitating with new concessions. I wonder what's going to happen?

as i understood the situation, optus was negotiating to resell foxtel digital. I don't think they're considering upgrading to digital, they've got other plans.

The Biggest problem Optus has is piracy and thats the reason why they want to change to digital.<br />you would not believe the people that have the balls to climb the pole(ladder) to re-connect the cable, also lot of this is done by there own employees.

Optus Cable is the most hacked Pay Tv in Australia.<br />Gold cards are now appearing everywhere that work in Optus Jerrold units as well as the fact that Jerrolds can also be chipped to provide free tv.

And this just in , Telstra are pressuring News ltd and PBL not to accept the offer of Optus going digital. This is what a big mess in the pay tv industry. Foxtel said they'll break even in 1999 to 2000 and then 1995 to 1996 and now they have blown out by another $100 million. Packer and News ltd make profit on FOX sports and Telstra is just an Oversized Gorilla. A big mess i'll tell you.<br /> <br /> <small>[ 14. ja you must be blind or you need to look at other Satellite channels to make a comparison. you need to look at Videoland on Pas 8 and thats C Band in NTSC<br />ITS Perfect!!! runs around 6.5,m/bits sometimes, you need to look at DW on Asiasat 2 now thats a very good picture. I did. I have few friends with UBI and I did compare ...... no difierence to what I see on my TV on TV+.<br /><br />And I see very well.
