Here are a couple of special orbs from my collection. The reddish orb is the only orb I have photographed of its kind. The other is just cute. Neither have been altered or brightened (only enlarged).

The bright orb begins to disappear as it moves toward and into the eaves of the house.

What are orbs?

An "orb" is the term that has become popularly used to identify the irridescent, sometimes colourful, transparent or opaque circles that appear in photos. And it seems that orbs have been appearing in photos with more frequency in the last 10 or so years. Some people believe orbs are an anomaly attributable to the use of digital cameras, but many people, including myself, have caught orbs with film-cameras as well. Others propose that orbs are reflections from dust particles or water. However, when I investigated the orb phenomenon with wonder and open-mindedness, it quickly became apparent to me that orbs are some form of life.

For more detail see my website What Are Orbs?

Camera flash is an important element in taking night time photos. The light is required to reflect off of the object rendering it visible in the dark.

However, these daytime orb photos show how much light is simply generated from the orb itself, particularly when it concentrates its energy for take-off.

Have you had a look through your photos to see if you have any orbs showing up (day or night)? Will anyone share their photos with orbs or anomalies? Anything...
