I find this an interesting topic, sparked off by Alisa noting some childrens eyes are almond shaped.
What are Indigos?
Indigos are certain people who have been born on the Earth over the past hundred years.After World war 2 a lot of Indigos were born and these are the older adults of today. Apparently another large wave were born, in the 1970's.
The term indigo comes from them having a lot of Indigo in their auric field(electromagnetic field that surrounds the human physical body.Many of them are clairvoyant.Some of the children have been labelled with ADD( attention defecit disorder)and are medicated, sedated, to enable them to conform to what society expects normal behaviour to be. The eyes tend to be large and bright.

What are Crystal Children?
The term refers to the children who have been born from around 2000.
The eyes are bright and large and appears when looking at you they pierce deep inside your soul. They are highly sensitive, psychic and telepathic. They have a kind of pastel iridescence in their aura. Some of them are labelled Autistic and have problems with speech and don't start talking till around 4 years old.

Thanks for this, Chris! I found my way to Indigo and Crystal people/children through my spiritual searches, with particular emphasis in trying to understand my son's late acquisition of speech and his autism, along with this fierce intelligence I could see beneath it all. From what I have learned about Crystal children, he fits this profile along with so many children these days.

I have thought a lot about this phenomenon, but have been left wondering... are these children/people ancient, special souls incarnating now because of the potential big changes (2012)? Or are they the latest models of all of us (our spirits) as we continue to evolve? Is it also our physiology (brain) that is rapidly changing to suit our environment of high-tech information, like the Silicon Valley syndrome where highly detailed thinkers are meeting and mating? There are many more scenarios...

In researching autism a few years ago I found some fascinating physiological research done by Dr. Manuel Casanova that indicated on a cellular level, the brain minicolumns were smaller, yet more abundant in people with autism than in the brains of nonautistic people. This is thought to be a contributing factor to the challenges of autism: seemingly in their own world, heightened sensitivity in processing (lights, sound, texture), and a greater risk of epilepsy, etc.

Some seeing the problems these type of people face would like to find a way to stop or reverse this brain structure (though I cannot imagine how, since it appears to be part of the blueprint for the individual's makeup). Whereas some see it as a great new potential for individuals to become more specialized and to accomplish greater feats in specific areas. (I agree with the latter).

High-functioning autistics and those with Asperger's syndrome frequently insist that they are very happy with their brains the way they are and do not consider it a disorder, but a brain type. Some geniuses are considered to be autistic or Asperger's. With any abilities/disabilities, differences, etc., there are pros and cons. Some people suffer enormously due to autism, some benefit.

Though the majority of the world, as I have experience it thus far, including the school system, looks at the autistic child through their limitations. As a mother, I feel compelled to look at my child's gifts and abilities that make him special, fascinating, different, and full of potential. With my son at least, I see his way of thinking and behaving as a wonderous, necessary part of humanity making our world a fuller, richer place in which to live.

Thank you for sharing that with the forum Alisa. It is said that autism in some of these crystals, is due to the fact that they are telepathic, and do not need to communicate verbally all the time. when they want to speak, it will be in there own time.
I agree with what you say. I hope that this new generation of humans can help change the tide of old worn out ideas that has hindered out society for so long.
