Wondering if anyone else experiences this... I have been seeing orbs in TV shows with greater frequency. Whether I am noticing it more, or it is happening more, I don't know. I see an orb or two in at least 1 of 5 shows. It will fly across the screen, or circle someone (I rewind and play back frame-by-frame). I have seen orbs in mostly talk-shows, reality TV shows, and documentaries. One example was the Grizzly Man documentary, when the friend of Timothy was spreading his ashes and an orb flew into the scene, hovered around her hands, then whooshed around her and off screen. Also, quite often on crime-solver shows, I will see an orb quickly circle the investigator as they are talking about the murder victim. Though orbs most frequently show up in documentaries about tragedies, they also show up in light-hearted reality shows (like Hogan Knows Best, which is ). I am also seeing these quick-moving orbs and other moving shapes in real life. It is almost always at night. This is likely thanks to the rod photoreceptor cells of the eye which are activated in low light. Rod cells are responsible for peripheral vision (which is how I see most orbs - out of the corner of my eye). Rods are also much more sensitive to movement than cone cells which are specialized for colour and high resolution vision. Rods are not sensitive to colour which likely accounts for why all of the orb/entities I see are on a gray-scale from white to black. Last night as I lay in bed watching TV, I could see entities moving across the bed. I saw larger shapes moving up higher, across the ceiling. A black shape that I saw most clearly moved over the hills and curves of the blankets and was gone. It was long and thin. I have also seen shapes that crawl, like a large spider or beetle, though they just as quickly disappear. Strangely, it really isn't that scary. It's more fascinating, and like a challenge as I try to see and record them in my mind with greater detail.

I also wanted to mention that while orbs and "light anomalies" are filmed frequently and in the dark of night on shows like Most Haunted , I notice them very often whooshing through during the filmed daytime segments when the investigators are giving the background on the haunted property, or the comments they make in the sunshine the next day after the investigation. And interestingly, while I see these orbs on screen via my cone photoreceptors, they still appear on the grayscale. Some are pure white with a few rare black ones. I have heard the investigators say they see coloured lights (red, etc.), though I have not seen a coloured one on video yet. But there are plenty of photos of coloured anomalies and spirits.
