Oh Magical Jim has inspired me, once again, to start a new topic. All of my dreams are revealing (to me). And because I have been keeping a detailed journal of my dreams for about three years now, one side effect has been that my dreams seem to make more sense than they used to. I used to have some rather disjointed dreams and symbols that were "all over the place", but now, that is quite rare. Usually the dreams follow a reasonably logical line of thinking. And I often kinda entice the material into a logical line for the purpose of recording it. Since my dream last night was revealing (as always), but not too uncomfortably so... so I'll start by sharing it. I dreamed that it was Halloween. I was in the US with my parents. We were going to go trick-or-treating. The area to the north was full of more expensive homes. We decided to go there for the best treats. Then we realized we had a specific map allocated to us for going on an elite route with select others.
I felt nervous about all of it as it was getting complicated and deviating from the spontaneous idea of simply trick-or-treating. I didn't feel comfortable with all of the assumptions (such as this route would be better because it was exclusive, or that the wealthier houses would have better treats). The first house on the list looked very ordinary. A woman who at first seemed Mexican and then later seemed Chinese, opened the door and led everyone inside. I felt concerned wondering why we were being taken inside instead of just being handed a treat through the door.
Inside, the line of trick-or-treating adults were led down staircases past several levels. It was amazing once inside to see how much of the place was underground and not obvious from the outside. I stayed on the first level. My reluctance that this was all too contrived had finally gotten the better of me and I didn't want to go any further. Once everyone was out of sight my curiosity won and I went down the stairs until I reached the basement where everyone was gathered and breakfast was being cooked and served.
I definitely didn't want breakfast as we had already eaten a meal before we left to trick-or-treat. My parents hadn't wanted the meal either, but we all forced ourselves to politely accept it and try to see the meal as something good, and a bonus. But it wasn't, and it was wasting time, and we weren't collecting our treats, etc.
Then the women hostesses came around to sign everyone up for some charity work. The meal was a precursor to guilt people into signing up for an outing into a poorer area to make a similar breakfast for others. The whole trick-or-treat thing was going in the totally wrong direction. I definitely did not want to sign up for volunteer work at this stage. Those around me seemed equally reluctant, but all of us felt guilty and the hostesses had planned for us to feel we owed to give back. Suddenly I decided to volunteer. Some small part of me saw a glimpse at how it could be a reward if I didn't fight it in my mind. Still, overall, I was rather disappointed by the whole experience. And it made me wonder what would have happened if I had followed my intuition and natural desires.
Ethics, so fun to ponder. Any dreams to share?

This morning, I had a strange, overly random dream. I woke up (In my dream, or course) and went down stairs. Then, I opened my cupboard (I have a food allergy, so we keep my foods in a different draw) and pulled out a pot rice thing. I opened the top, then looked at the time, and it was 11:30! So I put it away in the draw we keep all the canned foods, and said to myself I could have it for lunch. I indeed did have one this morning, though I opened it at lunch time.

Waking up in a dream. I find it fascinating when that happens. Sounds precognitive to me that you dreamed you opened the food upon waking and put it away for lunch. Then in waking life you actually opened the food at lunch time. Have I got this right? I have had little precognitive episodes in dreams. Sometimes over the most minor things. Your dream reminds me of a lucid dream I had a couple of years ago. During the dream I was triggered to realize I was dreaming, which is always exciting, though rare, because I get to explore the dream scene with my waking consciousness. I decided to find something to eat to see if it would taste and feel like eating in real life. I was inside a shopping mall and the first shop I could see was a coffee shop, not my first choice in taste treats, but there was no one attending it and they had some thick sandwich cookies with inches of a cream in the centre. I took one and started eating it, waiting for the sensation to become apparent. Strangely, it was licorice flavoured, but somewhat vague in the way it tasted and felt. Not the same as "real". *End of dream.*The next day I made some pre-packaged microwave popcorn that was caramel flavoured and made with a sugar substitute. It smelled nice while popping, but the flavour was very artificial. It reminded me of eating the licorice cookie in my dream (it hinted at reality, but was not quite right), as if the dream cookie experience was precognitive of the caramel popcorn experience.

Interesting set of dreams from both of you! I used to remember my dreams very clearly, but don't seem to do that much anymore. Although when I dream I am aware at some level, I am dreaming. I have not got round to controlling the dream sequence as yet, but I know quite a few people who can do just that, and change the dream if it is not going the way they want it.

I had a seriously strange dream last night. -Ahem-
I was at my old house, although a 20 year old girl lived there now. She was very pretty, and wore glasses, and had long ginger hair. My brother was there to, so was my father, and a older guy, with short black hair, and a old, but kind face. Soon, a car parked up at a house across the street and down one. The people who lived here started to get nervous. Soon, we all rushed inside, when a van came up saying 'They're comming home, please retreat into your houses.'
We did, but I rushed out again, leaping down all 13 steps and rolling at the bottom, grabbed a bunch of allen keys, and rushed up again. I remember having a level of awareness in that dream, as I wanted to leap down the stairs, knowing it would be the quickest, and in the air, I remembered to roll, as my cousin tought me. When I rolled, I felt the harsh impact become a gliding motion of softness.
Once inside again, we where lead into the living room, where we talked, then we entered a backroom, walking into what resembled a HUGE pot with the back cut out. There was a opening to see through at one end also, which looked out to the nextdoor nabours, which no happened to be the offending families house. Therew was a woman cooking in there, I could see that through a telescope like object.
"No one ever see's them. They pick faulse locations to seem real." Said the old looking man, then held up a photo of two friendly looking people in a cannoo, which I knew was the offending family. "These people don't exist. Even their phone number's fake, Exeter Exminster." The old man explained.
Then came a loud crack. "Whats she doing?" I asked him. "She's bending it." replied the ginger pretty girl. SOon, a blood splatter flew through a seperate pair of swinging doors on the other side of the room. Then, chunks of brown meat, a pair of tusks, and various bones followed after it. Then the dream ended.

That is an amazing dream! I'm sooo glad you shared it. There seem to be so many angles to it and it prompts so many questions. I like the rolling thing you learned from your cousin. It makes me think you have truly learned some techniques applicable in dream dimensions. And whenever I get a precise number in a dream, I figure it is not random or accidental. Interesting there were 13 steps. It is so fascinating that the story line was about these unreal entities masquerading as people, but you could see through their ruse. And the unreal woman was "bending it" (interesting choice of words ) and seems to have "bent" a mastadon maybe, turning it into meat (for cooking)? And then there is the symbology of you standing in a sort of large cooking pot. Any thoughts on what any of it means to you, OMJ?

Heh, I knew there where thirteen steps, because I used to count them as a child, when we lived there. And the woman cooking wasn't one of the unreal people, I believe, for one of the people called her a traitor. I'm not sure what any of it meant, but it was a good dream none the less. Oh! and before I finish, I remember thinking in my dream if the faulse people where aliens.

Well, I don't believe in evil as such. I do believe that some entities, human and otherwise, are opportunistic entities in a state of learning, yes. But the aliens that I have had "encounters" with, while they have been at times confrontingly scary to my senses, did not seem evil or of ill-will IMO. Can't speak for other's experiences tho.

Heh, I know you don't believe in evil. And I know what you mean. Yet we best not forget, we all where blood thirsty parasites once.

Good point as alway OMJ. And we still have that side to us, eh? But we are in the process of overcoming and balance, and all that. IMO. Maybe being guided by those that have come before us.

Lol, why thank you. I think many humans, how ever much they believe, still arent sivilized. It makes me almost laugh to see the word 'humane' having the word 'human' in it, when they so arent. Though, The masks many people wear help over thing, but I think alot could be changed if people kept to their word. Promises are broken all to often, and if people kept them, less would die or suffer. Sorry for the ramble, I felt like sharing it. Maybe we're guided by those that have come before us, or maybe we guide ourselves through interdimentionality(sp?) Strange thought I know, but if we're all one soul in thousands of dimensions, then one of us are bound to make a mistake, and the other know what would happen if they choose to do so, and thus do somthing else. Ever had that feeling?

Though not the embodiment of pure civilization, I think humans are more civilized now than in the recorded past. I think we are progressing well. Always work to be done here, but that is the point. Evolution, progression, betterment, infinity. We accept so much more now than before. People used to be punished for being different much more severely than now. I find people are innately compassionate. It is fear that prompts people to segregate, punish and control everyone else to help lessen their fear of difference and the discomfort new things always bring until we get used them and see the good they add to the big picture. And good point about maybe we guide ourselves through interdimensionality! I think this to be so. I have recently received a spirit guide who I believe to be me when I am more fully evolved. Reality/Truth is far, far stranger than fiction, and actually more fun to explore (for me anyway). Though having said that, fiction is a form of reality (in my belief) and is a depiction of something actually happening somewhere in infinity.

Indeed! Everything must happen somewhere. If not anywhere in the outside world, in our minds and emagination, and so it's still happening somewhere. And its not real you say? What is? Everything you feel, hear, taste, touch, and smell is all electrical impulses interprated by your brain. So emagination may be more real then even reality is in some sences. I agree with you there Alisa. Humans have come a long way, though they have alot longer to go. Not even the first step has been reached after more then twenty-one centuries. Though, when the time comes to be rid of this mortal body, and if I am deemed worthy to become part of the spirit world instead of the 'living', I shall sit back and watch the human race develoup over millions of years, and watch the progress, or the opposite, It could go either way.

Good points, OMJ! And I can just picture you as you watch it all unfold from the spirit realm! Also, what is the first step (that has not been reached) that you refer to?

The first step which I refer to, is to truely live up to the word 'Humane'. As of now, 'we' test products on animals for our own benifit, as I've said, and countless other things, including nuclear war. We have alot of catching up to do if we want to be truely humane.
